Water Based Paint Brushes

After use with water based paints, such as emulsion, remove the excess paint and wash the paint brush in warm soapy water, or rinse in clean running water or cleaning fluids. Then immediately dry thoroughly.

Some of our brushes have a No-Bristle loss guarantee.  Please note, bristle loss may occur if the brush is left to soak or is left in a damp area.

Oil Based Paint Brushes

After painting with oil based paints such as gloss, satin and eggshell. These paints require specialised cleaners, for example white spirit. Please refer to the paint tin for further guidance.

Some of our brushes have a No-Bristle loss guarantee.  Please note, bristle loss may occur if the brush is left to soak or is left in a damp area.

Equipment Care

Water Based Paint Rollers

After use with water based paints, such as emulsion, remove the excess paint with a multi-tool. Then wash in warm soapy water. Use the multi-tool to scrape over the surface of the roller to ensure all paint is removed. Allow to dry standing up.

Oil Based Paint Rollers

After use with oil based paints such as gloss, satin and eggshell, these paints require specialised cleaners. Please refer to the paint tin for further guidance.

Scrapers and Fillers

Clean with warm soapy water after use and dry before storage.

Abrasives

Some of our abrasives, such as the Sanding blocks and wire brushes can be used again and again. Clean them with warm soapy water and dry completely before storing.

Equipment Care

Trays & other tools

With water based paints such as emulsion, remove excess paint and wash in warm soapy water ensuring all paint is removed. With oil based paints such as gloss, satin and eggshell, specialised cleaning product may be needed. Refer to the paint manufacturer for cleaning guidance.
