Here at Harris, We’re delighted and proud to announce that L. G. Harris & Co. Ltd. has been granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment by His Majesty King Charles III as Manufacturers of Paint Brushes and Painters’ Tools, continuing a legacy we’ve upheld since 1961. A Royal Warrant of Appointment is granted as a mark of recognition to people or companies who have regularly supplied goods or services to the Royal Household. More recently, the assessment process has placed increasing importance on Environmental and Social responsibility. This prestigious recognition has recently been celebrated with a proud moment at our Bromsgrove location: the unveiling of the Royal Coat of Arms, now displayed prominently at the front of the building. The presentation of this royal emblem reflects our ongoing recognition as Manufacturers of Paint Brushes and Painters’ Tools under the Royal Warrant of Appointment, celebrating the quality, craftsmanship, and dedication to excellence at the core of our company ethos.

What is a Royal Warrant, and what does it mean for Harris?

Royal patronage or recognition of services has been practiced in some form or another in Europe for centuries, becoming the more formalised system of Royal Warrant in the UK by the 15th century wherein the Lord Chamberlain, acting in service of the monarchy, would appoint tradespeople as official suppliers to the royal household. Today, the Royal Warrant acts as a prestigious recognition of quality goods and services that allows the supplier to advertise the fact that they supply to the royal family, becoming a trusted signal of great value and quality products fit to be used for the household of the reigning monarch themself.

For Harris, this royal distinction signifies our long legacy of excellence in service of paint brushes and other decorating tools, recognising the importance of consistently high-quality products. As a customer, our Royal Warrant means that you can rely on our tools to achieve only the best of finishes, every time.

A legacy of excellence

To celebrate Harris’ continued royal recognition, we held an unveiling ceremony, led by CEO of Orkla House Care Vicky Philemon, to commemorate the display of the Royal Coat of Arms at our site in Bromsgrove. Reflecting on this achievement, Vicky said that, “holding a Royal Warrant is something for everyone here to be proud of. It recognises not just the quality of our products, but the integrity, responsibility and dedication that sit at the heart of everything we do.”

Our continued Royal recognition reflects our commitment to excellence and honours our proud legacy of quality brushes and tools.

A moment worth celebrating

For the grand unveiling, the entire UK team came together for a toast to celebrate and uplift the people who continue the legacy of Harris quality every day. This simple, heartfelt tribute to the dedication and expertise of our Harris people was a fantastic opportunity to bond as a team as well as continue to drive our success.
